Upcoming Sustainable Energy Workshop Series

Appalachia-Science in the Public Interest, a KySEA member, will be offering a series of workshops about solar energy. The trainings will take place on between March 29th and October 31st, 2010. Individuals can sign up for one or many of the workshops, learning everything from the basics about solar energy systems to how to create a successful solar energy or conservation business. Russell ATC Center Wind Turbine Russell ATC Center Wind Turbine

In May 2008, a host of Russell Area Technology Center students and electrical technology instructor Doug Keaton gathered around a 60-foot tall, 1-kilowatt wind turbine to celebrate its opening operation. Using electricity generated by the turbine is just one part of Russell ATC's larger plan to reduce the school's energy costs by 25%.
