Clean Energy Opportunity Act - House Bill 167
It is time for Kentucky to transition to clean, affordable and sustainable energy solutions.
Representative Marzian introduced the "Clean Energy Opportunity Act" (HB 167) into the 2012 General Assembly. KySEA supports this bill, which contains measures that would:

For more info on key components of the Clean Energy Opportunity Act, see the following:
- Renewable and Efficiency Portfolio Standard requiring utilities, through gradually increasing incremental goals, to ramp up to obtaining 12.5% of their retail sales from renewable sources and offseting 10.25% of annual retail sales through energy efficiency by 2021.
- Provision to establish Feed-in Tariffs for in-state renewable energy production (wind, solar, hydro, biomass) to jumpstart Kentucky's clean energy market.
